Getting there

London is big and complicated, so there are a lot of different ways you could be arriving...

Arriving by rail

The aim is to get to Cyprus DLR, which is in Zone 3. Once you get there, the venue is literally outside the station. If you've come from London, you will alight on the North platform. Cross the footbridge over the DLR and the campus is directly in front of you. Walk up past the bar on your left to the far end of the main court. The Atrium, and Registration, is on your left, and there will be signs directing you to it.

From Paddington

Take the Bakerloo line southbound to Baker Street. Cross the platform to the southbound Jubilee line. Get off at Canning Town, go up the stairs to the DLR, and get a train heading to Beckton.

From Euston / King's Cross

Take the Northern line city branch southbound to London Bridge, and follow the instructions from there.

From Waterloo / London Bridge

Take the eastbound Jubilee line to Canning Town. Go up the stairs to the DLR, and get a train heading to Beckton.

From Victoria

Take the Circle / District lines eastbound to Westminster. Take the eastbound Jubilee line to Canning Town. Go up the stairs to the DLR, and get a train heading to Beckton.

From Liverpool Street

If your train stops at Stratford, get off there. Otherwise, take the Central line eastbound to Stratford, then the Jubilee line southbound to to Canning Town. Go up the stairs to the DLR, and get a train heading to Beckton.

Arriving by car

If you are approaching via the M25, turn south onto the M11. Go to the end of the M11 (next junction) and take the left-hand slip road onto the A406 North Circular east. Keep going until you get to a big roundabout which crosses the A13, and go straight across onto the A1020. At the second roundabout, take the third turning into the UEL campus (University Way, see map). We are planning to put purple balloons at the entrance, but don't assume that if they're not there, it's not BiCon, as they may possibly have blown away...

If you're not coming via the M11, then you're probably either coming in along the A406 North Circular, or the A13, in which case join the above route at the appropriate point.

The photo below shows the entrance to Universioty Way from the roundabout. The Docklands campus of UEL is the building in the distance with the distinctive sloping rooftops. Note also the large UEL sign on the far side of the junction (lit up at night).

Once you turn off to the UEL campus, the road passes under the Docklands Light Railway and turns right through some barriers (which should be up, but walk up and find us if they're not). Drive up to the main buildings, turn right and then right again into the car park. Then come and register.

Arriving by bus

The following buses stop opposite Cyprus DLR station (see map):

• 101 (Wansted Park - Manor Park - East Ham - Cyprus - Woolwich)
• 366 (Barking - Showcase Cinemas - Sainsbury's - Beckton - Cyprus)
• 376 (East Beckton - Winsor Park Estate - Cyprus - Stansfeld Park - Prince Regent DLR - Newham General Hospital - Upton Park - Plashet Grove - East Ham)
• 474 (Canning Town - Silvertown - North Woolwich - Royal Albert Dock - Cyprus - East Beckton (Asda))

Arriving by air

From London City

Shuttle bus to Canning Town, then DLR to Cyprus (or taxi direct from the airport).

From Stansted

Stansted Express to Liverpool Street, then follow instructions above.

From Heathrow

Victoria Line to Green Park, change to Jubilee Line to Canning Town, then DLR to Cyprus.

From Gatwick

Thameslink to London Bridge, then Jubilee Line to Canning Town, then DLR to Cyprus.
